"Two months ago, I was in the nerve-wracking situation of knowing that I wouldn't have housing in 4 months time, and I had no idea where I was going to live. John Whippen, from Ascend Realty Group reached out to me and assured me that he would get me into some place great. I can honestly say that he has made good on that promise.
They say that good realtors are hard to come by, which is not something that I can relate to, as John is the first one I have worked with and he is awesome. From the beginning, he did a great job of taking into account the factors that were important to me. I wasn't sure if I wanted to rent or purchase, have one roommate or none, etc. He helped me look at all types of properties, and would send a variety of property listings for me to review while I decided what would work best. John never pushed me into looking at any properties, but he also moved as fast as I wanted to. Being a busy college student, I have limited availability, and he always worked around my schedule, making sure times and dates worked for me. If we wanted to get into an open house on Saturday, he would be up late working Friday night to ensure we got a time to look at it. John also had the difficult task of managing transactions with my father, who lives cross country. He always did due diligence making sure that faxed were received, and sent back in a timely fashion and communicating with my parents regularly. He is also very knowledgeable about the markets; John made sure we didn't overpay for a property just because I was starry-eyed over it, but also knew exactly what we needed to offer without overbidding the second highest by thousands.
Even after closing, John has continued to help advocate what is in my best interests to contractors, and I have no doubt that he will continually be there when I need him to answer questions, explain things, offer advice, and what not. John has always made himself available to me, and he makes his clients feel as though they are his priority. He is easily reachable, dependable, trustworthy, accommodating, so easy to get along with, and in all sincerity, I cannot say enough great things about him, or recommend him highly enough."
